At DJ's Great Outdoor Experience, our mission is to empower inner-city youth by providing transformative outdoor adventures that foster self-discovery, leadership, and community. We are committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment where at-risk children and teenagers can explore the natural world and develop essential life skills. Through a diverse range of activities like kayaking, hiking, and storytelling, we aim to build resilience, promote mental and physical well-being, and cultivate a sense of belonging and teamwork. By honoring DJ's legacy, we strive to inspire each camper to rise above adversity, serve as positive role models, and carry forward the values of kindness, courage, and perseverance in their lives.

At DJ's Great Outdoor Experience, we are dedicated to providing a deeply enriching and memorable camp for every child. Currently, our registration is limited to 25 participants each session due to our scarce resources. We are earnestly working towards expanding this number to welcome more youth into our camp family, as soon as we are able to secure the necessary resources. Our program relies heavily on the generous contributions of volunteers and donors. Volunteers are the backbone of our camp, providing leadership, guidance, and care, ensuring each camper benefits fully from their experience. Donations, whether monetary or in-kind, help us sustain and expand our activities, improve our facilities, and make the camp accessible to more children.
